Hello My grandparents came from Kolut to Deaver Dam in 1907. After my grandfather died in 1924 my grandmother married a man from Apatin.

I think the story on mine (& Larry's) grandparents was there was a cousin who came over earlier than my grandfather... I'm not sure what year or what his name was.... Our last name was spelled Huszli on the Ellis Island records.

Koluth

hallo, since 2000 the cases of bith and death of german settlers in koluth are published in a book, my fathers family (pfeifenroth) originally setlled in koluth and moved to apatin 1848. because i research my familytree since 20 years, i bought this book, if you are interested, i can try to reconstruct your familytree(surely for free!) greetings herbert pfeifenroth from germany

Apatin to Beaver Dam

I live in Beaver Dam, WI My father came to the US in 1909 at the age of 2. His family settled in Mayville, WI. We have never been able to trace our family back to Apatin.

I think my grandfather stayed with a cousin or something when he came over... I wonder if that would be your family? Huszli was how the last name was spelled at Ellis Island.

Hello Safegirl There are 9 Hussli families listed in the Dodge county phone book. Beaver Dam is in Dodge County.

Bill, I could be related to you in some way if your family came from Apatin. I have been told that my Grandfather was given the surname Utri, which was his mother's surname. Our family's name apparently should be Hussli since that was the last name of my greatgrandfather.
